Corner urinal-sculptures for public space
Hiding in the city center
You probably noticed these grey domes standing on several places in the city center of Eindhoven. The great thing about these sculptures is that you can’t miss them and you can follow the continuous ceremony happening on them. Especially during night time, they become shiny fountains.
I was surprised by their outstanding shape and placement in open areas where they become even more noticeable. This stands in contrast with their function which asks for the least privacy. People rather seek for more intimacy; hidden corners, trees and shop backsides.
Absurd, this scenario became my starting point and inspiration. I made a variety of shapes playing with scales and creating situations with elements of our daily interiour thinking of how the ideal pee corner could look like?
